About Me
I am a big advocate for mental health support, and firmly believe in the effectiveness of talking therapy. Life can present unexpected challenges, and having someone to talk to—where you feel heard and understood without judgment—can be invaluable. Having a dedicated space for you to express yourself, with the added support and guidance, can prove highly beneficial.
My primary method of working with clients is with a person-centred approach, however, I work using various therapy models. I tailor our sessions around your needs and offer an empathic, warm and non-judgemental space for you to feel heard, understood and valued. I recognise the establishment and maintenance of trust, honesty and confidentiality are essential to the effectiveness of a therapeutic relationship - therapy is a path that we walk together.
There may be moments when it seems like you're just getting by instead of truly living. Life can be challenging, leading to feelings of sadness or being trapped in familiar patterns like people-pleasing, which might affect your life, relationships, or work. Together, we can delve into the reasons behind your actions, address unproductive thought patterns, and navigate overwhelming emotions and work towards personal development.
I am an individual member of the BACP with experience working with: Abuse - physical and emotional, anger, anxiety, bereavement, depression, family conflict, grief, health anxiety, low self-confidence, low self-esteem, loss, redundancy, relationship issues, social anxiety, stress, suicidal thoughts and ideation, trauma, work-related issues.
A Passion for Mental Health
Supporting mental health is at the heart of my work, and I am passionate about creating opportunities for individuals to delve into their own experiences and challenges. I believe everyone deserves a safe environment where they can freely explore their concerns and pursue self-discovery. I am also committed to reducing the stigma around mental health, working to foster a culture where everyone feels comfortable and empowered to share their stories.
